Tellington Touch is a system of gentle bodywork and movement exercises which positively influence behaviour and well-being in dogs.

The bodywork consists of gentle hands-on circles, lifts and slides which bring awareness to the dog's body to calm and quieten it.  This enables the dog to be in a better position to think rather than just react.

The movement exercises continue this and help to address problems with balance and co-ordination.  By asking a dog to move in a slow, considered way we give it time to organise its body properly.  This helps to improve posture and balance, both of which impact heavily on behaviour.

It can seem as though some of what we do in TTouch is quite random; but by slowing and calming the dog we enable it to learn about itself, giving it skills to make choices about how to respond to a given situation.

With TTouch we have a wide range of tools at our disposal to apply to different dogs and situations.  We treat each case individually but the common thread that runs through every case is how we approach the dog - with care and respect in order to build trust and work with it in a co-operative way.

TTouch can help with many conditions such as: fear of noises (thunderstorms, fireworks) or other fearful behaviour; hyperactivity; stress; anxiety; insecurity; reactivity towards other dogs; car sickness and many more.
