Dog Intermediate
The dog intermediate programme is aimed at dogs and owners who have basic obedience skills already.
Our small group classes include a mix of educational, fun and practical training methods with an Instructor who supports and encourages you and your dog.
This programme covers:-
• Building a bond with your dog
• Off lead heelwork
• Recalls – using a whistle if appropriate
• Recalls around distractions
• Off lead recalls
• Teaching dog to "present" and "finish"
• Distance control using hand signals
• Drop on command - on and off lead
• Send away and drop on command
• Longer and further distance stays
• Variety of Retrieve work
• Find it using command or whistle
• Problem solving techniques to exercise minds as well as bodies
• Fun elements, training games and agility equipment relevant to ability
• A Certificate of Achievement is awarded on successful completion of this
programme
Detailed handouts with exercises and training games are provided to practice at home in between sessions. Handouts on how to deal with common dog behaviours are also available.
On completion of the group training there is the option to continue training 1-1.
